Can science be taught to younger children?
Certain! Just use simple and scientifically correct words in harmony with their usual teaching paths.
How to do?
With "Nursery Rhyme of the Earth", the little pupils of kindergarten and primary school can begin to learn simple but fundamental scientific concepts while having fun.
The authors Maria Grazia Ciaccio and Francesca Di Laura, respectively researcher and illustrator of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), who for years have passionately dedicated part of their work to scientific dissemination, wanted to address primary learning by approaching, with the delicacy that is their own, to the playfulness of children to involve them in the wonderful world of science.
Furthermore, at the back of the book there are blank pages so that little readers can personalize it with drawings on Earth or with all the imagination of their little geniuses.

This new INGV editorial product is co-edited with Pacini Editore which has allowed it to be distributed in bookstores and online, thus being able to reach a very large audience.

Filastrocca della Terra - like all INGV educational products - will also be distributed free of charge to young visitors who, at the end of the current health emergency, will come to visit the Institute again during the educational days dedicated to schools.
