Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 August, for the 2nd edition of the Borghi dei Tesori Fest on the small port of Portopalo di Capo Passero in Sicily (SR) researchers of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) together with researchers from the National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN) await you at the headquarters of the ancient wine warehouse to tell the scientific challenges of the Mediterranean abysses and Sicilian active volcanoes through the construction of a large multidisciplinary infrastructure.

From Portopalo di Capo Passero, the extreme tip of eastern Sicily where the Ionian Sea meets the Sicilian Channel, you can set sail and reach the small Capo Passero island which overlooks the village from the sea, inside the Spanish fortress, to get to know the hidden treasures, precious artisans, castles, churches, hermitages, waterfalls, oil mills, laboratories of ancient productions, guided tours.

An experiential journey into science dedicated by families and children in a story that leads to the discovery of the secrets of the sea.
Borghi dei Tesori Fest, is the event that in Sicily is dedicated to the cultural heritage and to the discovery of the villages, promoted by the Le Vie dei Tesori Foundation in collaboration with the Sicilian municipalities. Over 200 open treasures told and visited and many walks, experiences, discoveries to fall in love with the villages of Sicily with the collaboration of young people ready to welcome visitors.
