From 8 to 10 June 2023 the appointment for everyone is with the "World Oceans Day: Knowing, Understanding, Living Together", the event organized byINGV ed EMSO extension in the Castle of Santa Severa (Santa Marinella, Rome) on the occasion of World Oceans Day (WOD) of the United Nations.
The annual World Oceans Day puts the ocean at the forefront to affirm the need for a joint effort among scientists, policy makers, industry, civil society and local communities to raise awareness of the true state of our oceans.
The National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) and the European Multidisciplinary Seafloor and water column Observatory (EMSO), as a member of Friends of United Nations World Oceans Day (FOWOD), everyone is waiting from 8 to 10 June at this event he will have a format of science and art to guide participants in an immersive experience capable of arousing connections with the natural environment, allowing them to learn more about the ocean and understand how to actively contribute to its conservation.
Guided by experts engaged in the study and protection of this extraordinary resource, we will discuss the vulnerability of the ocean to discover the importance it has in maintaining life on our planet.
