Da venerdì 4 a domenica 6 settembre, a Castiglione del Lago e all’Isola Polvese (PG), torna “Isola di Einsten”: tre giorni all'insegna di esperimenti, approfondimenti e giochi per curiosi di tutte le età sulle suggestive rive del Trasimeno.
L'Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia, ovviamente, non manca all'evento realizzato da Psiquadro e condurrà i bambini ed i ragazzi fino a 99 anni alla scoperta del nostro pianeta, entrando nel cuore della crosta terrestre, dei vulcani e dei terremoti.
Gli appuntamenti in programma con l'INGV sono tantissimi, da affascinanti esperimenti scientifici agli incontri con i ricercatori.
Partendo dal libro "Terremoto e rischio sismico" le sismologhe Maria Grazia Ciaccio e Giovanna Cultrera risponderanno alle domande più curiose “Perché si verificano i terremoti? Come e dove avvengono? Come si propagano le onde sismiche?”. Utilizzando esempi e dimostrazioni pratiche, dialogheranno con il pubblico affrontando il tema della "pericolosità sismica", cercando di dare un significato all'espressione "rischio sismico".
Con il sismologo Alessandro Amato, con il libro ‘Sotto i nostri piedi’, accompagnerà il pubblico in un viaggio temporale attraverso la storia dei terremoti e dei tentativi di prevederli.
Impossibile mancare a ‘Vulcano Mania’, il gioco con cui è possibile simulare le eruzioni vulcaniche più comuni sulla Terra e chiedere agli scienziati tutto quello vuoi sapere sull’eruzione dei vulcani e nessuno ti ha mai spiegato.
In un altro appassionante appuntamento, la ricercatrice Nunzia Voltattorni ci illustrerà come spiegare ai bambini i terremoti e come insegnare loro i comportamenti salvavita. Conosceremo, poi, la storia di "Giuseppa e il drago Tremotto”, un teatrino giapponese (butai-kamishibai) ed un draghetto-marionetta che fa scomparire i dolcetti!

INGV takes part in the Isola di Einstein, the festival of intelligent fun
From Friday 4 to Sunday 6 September, in Castiglione del Lago and Isola Polvese (PG), "Isola di Einsten" is back: three days of experiments, insights and games for curious people of all ages on the suggestive shores of Trasimeno.
The Italian National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology does not miss the event, organized by Psiquadro, and will lead children and young people up to 99 years to the discovery of our planet, entering in the heart of the earth's crust, of volcanoes and of earthquakes.
The appointments scheduled with INGV are many, from fascinating scientific experiments to meetings with researchers.
Starting from the book "Terremoto e rischio sismico" the seismologists Maria Grazia Ciaccio and Giovanna Cultrera will answer the most curious questions “Why do earthquakes occur? How and where do they take place? How do seismic waves propagate?". Using examples and practical demonstrations, they will dialogue with the public addressing the theme of "seismic hazard", trying to give meaning to the expression "seismic risk".
The seismologist Alessandro Amato, with the book ‘Sotto i nostri piedi”, will accompany the public on a time journey through the history of earthquakes and the attempts to predict them.
Impossible to miss 'Volcano Mania', the game with which you can simulate the most common volcanic eruptions on Earth and ask scientists everything you want to know about the eruption of volcanoes and no one has ever explained to you.
In another exciting event, researcher Nunzia Voltattorni will show how to explain earthquakes to children and how to teach them life-saving behaviors. We will then know the story of "Giuseppa and the Tremotto dragon", a Japanese theater (butai-kamishibai) and a little dragon-puppet that makes sweets disappear!
