From September 30th to October 5th 2019, Sicily will host the ICGG15 conference which comes back in Italy after 14 years, organized by the branch of Palermo of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology.
The ICGG is the only international conference fully dedicated to the gas geochemistry. It is a high-level international event the most recent progresses and findings of gas geochemistry as well as their application to a wide range of research fields are proposed and discussed.
The ICGG represents a perfect opportunity for gas geochemistry experts from many different countries to enjoy a full immersion in science with exchanges and communications at international level all along the working week in the relaxing and confortable environment of the Milazzo Old Castle.
The Old Castle of Milazzo hosts the ICGG15 because of its special location. It dominates the town of Milazzo from a hill from which it is possible to take a glance of the volcanic arc of the Aeolian Islands, the imposing Etna volcano and the tectonic areas of Messina and Patti Gulf, responsible for destructive Earthquakes in Sicily.
